REVIEW
So, firstly, Halo 3 is an incredible game. It includes a pretty decently sized campaign mode for people that cant connect to the internet, as well as co-op and split-screen modes that will support up to 4 players. The campaign is based around Master Chief, a Spartan (essentially a super soldier). The campaign takes you through a number of different environments, including; space, fictional planets, and earth. The campaign itself has a pretty interesting story line, and was i enjoyed playing through it once or twice. If connected to the internet the multiplayer will support up to 16 players. The multiplayer mode includes a good number of different match set up types to choose from, all being different battle modes (different team sizes/weapons, and ranked/social). The game is a FPS, where you are aloud a primary and secondary weapon, as well as 3 types of grenades. The weapon set includes a large number of weapons, varying in size, damage levels, fire rates, accuracy levels, and even bullet speed. All of these factors, the ranking systems, and some well designed multiplayer maps, make Halo 3 online pretty strategic, skill based, and competitive. In my opinion, Halo 3 was the last good game in the Halo series and has some of the best/most competitive online gameplay offered for the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, They have made more games since then, and Halo 3 is a dying game. It takes forever to find matches these days, and when you can, there's usually somebody with a red bar connection, which in turn causes the game to lag. Back in it's prime, i would have easily rated Halo 3 a 9.5 out of 10.
